FORMAN WATKINS & KRUTZ LLP: FormanWatkins’s New Orleans Office Expands

12713 w shadow lake office

Forman Watkins & Krutz LLP issued the following announcement on Aug. 19.

We are excited to announce the completion of our New Orleans office's new space in the Place St. Charles building! We moved into the new space in December of 2018, and within 9 months the need to expand arose due to rapid growth of our team. The expansion is now complete, so we wanted to share some details and photos of our new office. The additional build-out followed our phased approach for future growth, which made it easy to continue with phase 1 and have it completed by August 2019.

The expansion is consistent with the original design. Intentionally not traditional, we built all attorney offices identical in size and used all spaces where “typical” corner partner offices would be as common areas for the entire office to use. To foster collaboration, we built a Cafe, which includes a library and “drop in” work stations around the perimeter facing the Mississippi River, an espresso machine, and unique beers on tap. To foster an environment supportive of working mothers, we built a comfortably appointed wellness room. To foster an environment that inspires our attorneys and staff, we placed inspirational quotes throughout the office from figures as diverse as Dolly Parton and Duke Ellington. Finally, to foster productivity, we utilized technology, such as mobile and portable work-friendly set ups throughout all offices, conference space, and public work space, which allows us to serve our team and clients efficiently and comfortably.

The design of the office was a collaborative effort that involved input from our New Orleans team. “We worked hard to create an inviting office space that everyone could be proud of. We wanted to create an environment that matched our Firm’s culture, and I believe we succeeded,” said Charles Abbott, who spearheaded the design.

FormanWatkins expects more growth in the coming years in New Orleans. Partner Tim Gray added, “Our New Orleans office is growing quickly. It has more than doubled in size in the last three years, and we expect that growth to continue.”
