Louisiana Governor's Office issued the following announcement on Apr. 30.
Gov. John Bel Edwards announced his appointments to several Louisiana boards and commissions.
Traumatic Head and Spinal Cord Injury Trust Fund Advisory Board
The Traumatic Head and Spinal Cord Injury Trust Fund Advisory Board provides services in a flexible, individualized manner to Louisiana citizens with traumatic head or traumatic spinal cord injuries. The board administers a program which enables individuals to return to a reasonable level of functioning and independent living in their communities.
Stephanie A. Fletcher of Baton Rouge has been appointed to the Traumatic Head and Spinal Cord Injury Trust Fund Advisory Board. Fletcher is a physical therapist at Sage Day Neuro and will serve as a representative of an organization recognized for its work in advocacy programs for persons with spinal cord injury.
Law Enforcement Executive Management Institute
The purpose of the Law Enforcement Executive Management Institute’s mission is to promote the public peace, by establishing training programs for municipal chiefs of police to provide management courses and skills to enhance the safety of the citizens of Louisiana and the enforcement of state laws.
Richard J. “Rickey” Boudreaux of Youngsville has been appointed to the Law Enforcement Executive Management Institute. Boudreaux is the Chief of Police for the Youngsville Police Department and will serve as a certified municipal chief of police.
Louisiana Forestry Commission
The purpose of the Louisiana Forestry Commission is to protect, conserve, and replenish the natural resources of the state; the practice of forestry in the state is placed under the Louisiana Forestry Commission, which is hereby established in the executive branch of the state government.
George G. Pittman of Pineville has been appointed to the Louisiana Forestry Commission. Pittman is the vice president of Southern Pine Operations for Stella-Jones and will represent interests manufacturing or treating poles, piling, post crossties or veneer.
St. Mary Levee District
The mission of the St. Mary Levee District is to protect the people and property of St. Mary Parish from threats of flooding caused by riverine waters and hurricane storm surges.
Andrew V. Mancuso of Morgan City has been appointed to the St. Mary Levee District. Mancuso is the engineering manager at New Industries and will represent St. Mary Parish Council District Six.
State Boxing and Wrestling Commission
The mission of the State Boxing and Wrestling Commission is to maintain oversight of all ring sports; assure safety of contestants & public; issue licenses to all contestants, officials, matchmakers & promoters; collect gate taxes for continuing operation of this oversight.
James J. Brennan of Lafayette has been reappointed to the State Boxing and Wrestling Commission. Brennan is the owner and CEO of Celtic Crane and will serve at-large.
A. L. “Buddy” Embanato Jr. of Monroe has been reappointed to the State Boxing and Wrestling Commission. Embanato is the president of Louisiana Benefit Counseling and will represent the 5th Public Service Commission District. Embanato will also serve as chairman.
Thomas G. Ferguson M.D. of Schriever has been reappointed to the State Boxing and Wrestling Commission. Ferguson is the chief of medicine and chief academic officer at South Louisiana Medical Associates and is a ringside physician. Ferguson will serve as the representative of the 2nd Public Service Commission District.
John Green Jr. of Lake Charles has been reappointed to the State Boxing and Wrestling Commission. Green is an attorney at the Law Office of John Green and will represent the 4th Public Service Commission District. Green will also serve as secretary.
Oray P. Rogers of Franklin has been appointed to the State Boxing and Wrestling Commission. Rogers is retired and will serve at-large.
James A. Stevenson Jr. of Bogalusa has been reappointed to the State Boxing and Wrestling Commission. Stevenson is an assessor with the Washington Parish Assessor’s Office and will represent the 1st Public Service Commission District. Stevenson will also serve as vice-chairman.
Harold Lee Williams Jr. of Baton Rouge has been reappointed to the State Boxing and Wrestling Commission. Williams is retired and will represent the 3rd Public Service Commission District.
Louisiana Workforce Commission

Kellie Taylor-White of Baton Rouge has been appointed to the Louisiana Workforce Commission. Taylor-White is the assistant secretary for the Office of Occupational Information Services at the Louisiana Workforce Commission.
Tavares A. Walker of Baton Rouge has been appointed to the Louisiana Workforce Commission. Walker is the assistant secretary of the Office of Workforce Development at the Louisiana Workforce Commission.
Sabine River Authority
The Sabine River Authority’s mission is to provide for economic utilization and preservation of the waters of the Sabine River and its tributaries by promoting economic development, irrigation, navigation, improved water supply, drainage, public recreation, and hydroelectric power for the citizens of Louisiana.
Kevin D. Mitchell of Logansport has been appointed to the Sabine River Authority. Mitchell is the owner at Kevin’s Handyman Service and will serve as a resident of DeSoto Parish.
Ernest L. Williams of Many has been appointed to the Sabine River Authority. Williams is the safety coordinator at National Oilwell Varco and will serve as a resident of Sabine Parish.
