Taylor Porter estate planning and tax attorney Justin Mannino served as the featured speaker and presenter for a Baton Rouge Bar Association Young Lawyers Section “Summer Sizzlin’ Back To Basics CLE,” held Friday, July 16, at 1 p.m., at the BRBA Office Middleton Bar Center, 544 Main Street.
Mannino’s seminar “Louisiana Wills and Estate Planning: Practical Considerations” been a two-hour CLE credit available to attorneys. Click here for registration. Mannino represents individuals and businesses in the areas of federal, state and local taxation; multigenerational estate planning; numerous business and corporate governance and ownership matters; successions; and trusts.
Following Mannino’s seminar been a one-hour professionalism panel on the Do’s and Don’ts of practicing law. The panel will include representatives from the BRBA’s YLS Council and Pro Bono Committee. A Happy Hour at Cocha (445 N 6th St.) will be held after the program.
A member of the Taylor Porter Estate Planning and Taxation practice, Mannino works with individuals and families to prepare estate plans and implement wills, powers of attorney and to establish trust instruments. Mannino also advises clients regarding the structure of multi-generational wealth conservation plans to access the exemptions for the gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer taxes and to transfer family wealth with minimal transfer tax cost and without disruption of business operations. He handles contests and disputes, the implementation of wealth conservation plans, and the administration of estates and trusts. In addition, he advises clients in divorce proceedings relating to division of property. Mannino is a member of the Baton Rouge Estate and Business Planning Council. He is an active member of both the LSBA and the Baton Rouge Bar Association, and has been a member of the LSBA Ethics Committee since 2017.
