Taylor Porter attorney Coulter McMahen is among four newly selected members of the LSU Alumni Association 2021-22 Young Alumni Advisory Council. The Council serves as a focus group to provide key insight and feedback on young alumni engagement, development and fundraising. Council members work with fellow alumni to enhance support for young and future alumni.
New members include (clockwise from top left):

At Taylor Porter, McMahen practices in the areas of public utilities, education, health care, insurance and financial institutions. McMahen is a member of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI) Legal Advisory Council and Emerging Leaders Council. A Shreveport native, McMahen received his bachelor’s degree in Finance and a minor in Geology from LSU in 2013 and his law degree from LSU in 2017. During his time at LSU, McMahen held several leadership positions in Kappa Sigma Fraternity. In the Baton Rouge community, McMahen was chosen previously as a Capital City’s Finest honoree in recognition of his fundraising for the fight against Cystic Fibrosis. He also coaches baseball at The Miracle League, which provides children with disabilities or special needs the opportunity to be involved in a team sport.
