The Louisiana Supreme Court Announces Closure Due to Hurricane Ida

Louisiana Supreme Court issued the following announcement on Aug. 27.

Louisiana Supreme Court Chief Justice John L. Weimer announced today that, considering the emergency created by the expected hazardous weather conditions resulting from Hurricane Ida, potentially causing road closures, the threat of high winds and flooding, and other safety risks for the public and court staff, the Louisiana Supreme Court Offices and the Supreme Court Clerk of Court’s Office will close at 1:00pm, August 27, 2021 and will remain closed until Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
