ABOUT ANDRÉ J. MOULEDOUX

André Mouledoux is a seasoned litigator who brings his clients more than 40 years of battle-hardened experience. André’s practice focuses on maritime, insurance and transportation defense. He is also a skilled commercial and corporate counsel. He has successfully litigated serious commercial disputes and catastrophic tort cases from California to Rhode Island, the U.K. to Egypt. He has tried and won defense verdicts in a number of wrongful death, spinal injury and brain damage cases in state and federal courts. He will aggressively try those cases that need to be tried and negotiate favorable settlements in those that shouldn’t be.

André’s maritime practice has been quite diverse involving “blue water” matters including ship collisions and cargo claims, as well as Gulf of Mexico oil patch claims defending drilling companies, offshore boat operators and oil platform builders. His extensive “brown water” experience includes representation of towing companies, barge lines, fleet and dock operators, grain companies, stevedores, marine construction companies, dredging companies and marine salvors in a variety of personal injury and property damage lawsuits, lien claims, and transactional and commercial matters.

As supported by the peer honors he has received, including Top 50: New Orleans Super Lawyers (2016, 2019, 2020), Louisiana Super Lawyers (Transportation/Maritime), The Best Lawyers in America (Admiralty & Maritime Law), New Orleans Magazine Top Lawyers (Admiralty & Maritime Law, Transportation Law), and the NOBA Distinguished Maritime Lawyer for 2021, André has developed a reputation as one of the top attorneys in admiralty and maritime law and transportation.

André has been a featured speaker at various marine industry meetings and seminars, including The Risk and Insurance Management (RIMS) National Conference; National Association of Marine Surveyors (NAMS) Annual Meeting; Judge Alvin B. Rubin Conference on Maritime Personal Injuries (LSU Law Center); Annual Longshore Conference (Loyola); Greater New Orleans Barge Fleeting Association; Houston Forum on Admiralty and Litigation Claims; St. Louis Metropolitan Bar Association Maritime Law Seminar; and the Louisiana Claims Association.
