NEW ORLEANS - Donna Grady filed a federal lawsuit on Jan. 27 in the Eastern District of Louisiana against Airboat Adventures, LLC for negligence.

According to the lawsuit, on Nov. 5, 2021, Grady and her son were a passenger on a vessel owned and operated by Defendant for a bayou tour. Soon after deployment from the dock, the vessel collided with another vessel at a high rate of speed and caused passengers to be thrown from their seats, the suit says.

Grady required emergency medical treatment for her injuries, she says.

Defendant is alleged to have been negligent by failure to properly supervisor crew, failure to properly train employees, failure to provide adequate medical treatment, operating a vessel with an inadequate crew, failure to maintain the vessel and negligently operating the vessel.

Grady was caused to suffer serious injuries, past and future mental and physical pain and suffering, lost wages, loss of future earning capacity, past and future medical expenses and other damages, the suit says.

Grady is represented by R. Joshua Kochm, Jr. of New Orleans.
