Deutsch Kerrigan is excited to welcome our 2023 summer law clerks to our New Orleans, LA and Gulfport, MS offices.

BAILEY CASTEEL is a J.D. candidate (2024) at Tulane University Law School. He is a member of Tulane Law Review and is part of the Tulane Legal Assistance Program. Bailey is interested in gaining knowledge of commercial litigation, constitutional law, and privacy law.

ETHAN KING is a J.D. candidate (2024) at Tulane University Law School. Among his many achievements in law school, Ethan is proud to have his case note selected for publication in the Sports Lawyers Journal and to be serving on the executive board of the Tulane International Futbol Negotiation Competition. He is interested in legal writing, litigation, and sports law.

ANNAGRACE MEEKS is a J.D. Candidate (2024) at Ole Miss Law. Her proudest law school achievements to date are receiving the Outstanding Student Award in Torts and receiving the Mississippi Defense Lawyer Association Award. AnnaGrace is interested in litigation and professional liability. 

JASON ROUSSEL is a J.D. candidate (2024) at LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. Jason received his undergraduate degree from Loyola University New Orleans where he played on the university’s baseball team. In 2022, Jason received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in the study of Sales and Real Estate Transactions. Jason is excited to use this summer’s clerkship to gain experience in commercial litigation and professional liability defense.

ALEXIS TOPEL is a J.D. candidate (2024) at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. As part of her law school career, Alexis competed as a member of the Jessup International Moot Court Competition Team and as a member of the Trial Advocacy Bayou Challenge Competition Team. In her free time, she is 1L Legal Writing Teaching Assistant and a Research Assistant to Professor Dane Ciolino. She also served as the 2022-2023 President of the Loyola chapter of Federal Bar Association and continuously writes in the New Orleans Federal Bar Association Advocate magazine. She spent last summer externing for two federal judges at the Eastern District of Louisiana. Prior to her legal studies, Alexis was a Senior Lead Business and I.T. Auditor at the Allstate Corporation. She hopes to one-day practice civil litigation defense.
