Kim Phan of Troutman Pepper has been elected as the organization's president.

Kim Phan, a partner in Troutman Pepper's Privacy + Cyber Practice Group, has been elected as the president of the National Conference of Vietnamese American Attorneys (NCVAA). The NCVAA is the first-ever national Vietnamese American bar association for attorneys, law students, judges, and legal scholars. Phan was sworn in as the president on September 16, 2023, for the 2023-2024 term.

Prior to her appointment as president, Phan served as the incoming president of the NCVAA from 2022 to 2023 and as secretary from 2021 to 2022. As the newly elected president, Phan will lead the board and ensure that the NCVAA's mission to advance the academic and professional advancement of Vietnamese Americans in the legal profession is fulfilled.

Troutman Pepper, the law firm where Phan is a partner, is known for its commitment to diversity and inclusion. The firm develops programs and initiatives to promote a more diversified future and to address the specific challenges faced by different communities. Troutman Pepper's Privacy + Cyber Practice Group, where Phan is a member, is dedicated to helping clients manage the privacy and security of their data. The group combines a deep understanding of technology, the law, and practical implications to provide comprehensive assistance with cybersecurity, information governance, and privacy issues.
