The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana reported the following activities in the suit brought by Faith on the Rise Ministry against Scottsdale Insurance Company on May 2.

'Sborder:on May 1, 2023, Faith On The Rise Ministry ("plaintiff") Filed An Original Complaint And Demand For Jury Trial Against Scottsdale Insurance Company, Asserting That This Court Has Subject Matter Jurisdiction Over Its Hurricane Ida Claims Based Upon 28 U.s.c. § 1332, Diversity Jurisdiction (r. Doc. 1 ). Plaintiff Merely Asserts That It "is A Religious Organization Located In Marrero, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana." (id. At 2). To Adequately Allege Its Own Citizenship, Plaintiff Must Allege What Form Of Entity It Is And Then Must Adequately Allege The Citizenship Of That Entity. It Is Hereby Ordered That Plaintiff, Faith On The Rise Ministry, Shall Have Seven (7) Days From The Date Of This Order To File A Comprehensive Amended Complaint, Without Further Leave Of Court, Properly Setting Forth The Citizenship Particulars Of All Of The Parties, As Required To Establish That The Court Has Diversity Jurisdiction Over This Case Under 28 U.s.c. § 1332(a).
