Attorney General Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit Arrests Sorrento Man On Pornography Involving Juveniles & Sexual Abuse Of An Animal Charges

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit arrested a Sorrento man on Tuesday, April 16.

20-year-old Jayden McConnell, of Hackberry Street in Sorrento, was arrested for violating:

  • LA R.S. 14:81.1 Pornography Involving Juveniles (Felony) 30 Counts
  • LA R.S. 14:89.3 Sexual Abuse of an Animal (Felony) 1 Count
The investigation was initiated after our office received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. 

This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with the Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill's Cyber Crime Unit, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations.

McConnell was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
