Attorney General Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrests Gonzales man for Pornography Involving Juveniles and Sexual Abuse of an Animal

Agents with Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a Gonzales man on December 4.

70-year-old Steve Gautreau, of Adele Street in Gonzales, was arrested for violating:

1. LA R.S. 14:81.1 Pornography Involving Juveniles, Felony (6 Counts)

2. LA R.S. 14:89.3 Sexual Abuse of an Animal, Felony (7 Counts)

Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The arrest was the result of a joint investigation with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations.

Gautreau was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.

His bond amount is unknown at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
