Six companies led by LSU Law alumni made the 2024 LSU100 list of the fastest-growing Tiger-led businesses, with the Trichell Law Firm LLC, owned by 2014 LSU Law alumnus Chase Trichell, ranking second on the list.
Trichell launched his Baton Rouge-based law firm at the end of 2018 after practicing as a trial attorney for several years in Baton Rouge. The civil litigation firm specializes in injury law, wrongful death, and plaintiff advocacy.
Since 2010, the LSU100 list has celebrated the success of LSU graduates and recognized the impact of LSU alumni on the local, regional, and national economies. To compile the list each year, companies are confidentially ranked by a partner accounting firm based on their compound annual growth rate.
To qualify, companies must have been in business for at least five years and have revenue of at least $100,000 for the previous three years. Companies must also either have an LSU graduate who owns at least 50% of the business; or who serves as CEO, president or managing partner; or who founded the company and remains in a C-Suite management position.
A total of 10 LSU Law alumni were recognized as leaders of companies on the 2024 LSU100 list at a private celebration gala on Friday, Nov. 8. Additionally, Provident Resources Group Inc., which was founded by Steve Hicks (’73), was also honored for its inclusion on the LSU ROARING20 list, which recognizes the 20 highest revenue-generating LSU graduate-owned or LSU graduate-led businesses.
