This holiday season, the Southern University Law Center’s (SULC) Office of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives went above and beyond to support Baton Rouge’s most vulnerable citizens. The office packaged and delivered over 100 care packages to local organizations, including the Iris Domestic Violence Center, the O’Brien House Recovery Center, and St. Vincent de Paul, making a meaningful impact on those in need.

The care packages were thoughtfully prepared with items that cater to both the immediate and long-term needs of the recipients. Each package contained essential items such as blankets, cups with pill containers, blood pressure monitors, glucose monitors, and hygiene products.

As the holidays are often a time for reflection and giving, this initiative served as a reminder that every act of kindness, no matter how small, can have a lasting impact.

By giving back during this special time, the Law Center has shown that the season’s true meaning lies in compassion, generosity, and the desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
