Attorney General Murrill's LBI agents arrest Pineville man for Pornography Involving Juveniles and other charges

Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents arrested a man from Pineville for Possession and Distribution of Pornography Involving Juveniles on March 26, 2025.

53-year-old Michael James Dauzat, of Brannon Road in Pineville, was arrested for violating:

  • 5 Counts of LA RS 14:81.1E(5)(a) Pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 (Possession) (Felony)
  • 3 Counts LA RS 14:81.1E(5)(a) Pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 (Distribution) (Felony)
  • 7 Counts LA RS 14:73.13 Unlawful Deepfake (Felony)
  • 1 Count LA R.S 14: 283.2 Nonconsensual disclosure of a private image (Felony)
Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations.

Dauzat was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.

There's no word on his bond amount at this time.
