Louis Fazende filed a personal injury lawsuit against Mohammed Mohsen Ali, Southern United Fire Insurance, doing business as American Service Insurance, and Progress Paloverde Insurance Company on April 21, in the Civil District for the Parish of Orleans.
Ali allegedly disregarded a traffic signal and struck Fazende's, which caused severe and disabling injuries, the suit claims.
Fazende claims Ali is negligent for failing to see what he should have seen, failing to keep a good lookout, failing to maintain proper control of the vehicle, driving at an unreasonable speed, operating his vehicle in a careless and reckless manner and disregarding the traffic light.
He is seeking damages past and future physical pain and suffering, mental pain and suffering, rental expenses, property damages, loss of use and/or depreciation of vehicle, medical expenses, lost earnings, loss of future earning capacity, permanent disability, loss of consortium, loss of enjoyment of life, penalties, attorney's fees and interest.
