State Farm and its insured driver David Pinkston of New Orleans are being sued over injuries allegedly suffered in automobile accident.
According to the complaint filed April 22 in Orleans Parish District Court, Barbara Turnbow of New Orleans was stopped at a red light on Robert E. Lee Boulevard at the intersection of Wisner Boulevard in New Orleans on April 23, 2009, when she was suddenly and violently struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Pinkston.
The complaint alleges that the sole cause of the accident was the negligent inattentiveness of Pinkston and his failure to maintain control of his vehicle.
Turnbow alleges injuries due to the accident and is seeking compensation for those injuries. Her husband is seeking compensation for loss of love, affection, services and society occasioned by the injuries suffered by his wife.
The plaintiffs are being represented by Robert T. Garrity Jr. of Harahan La.
