Oil platform worker's personal injury trial postponed

McGlone

Orleans Parish District Court judge Kern Reese postponed a maritime trial originally scheduled to start May 10 until May 24 because of conflicts with his schedule.

Arkansas residents David Hankins and Kay Hankins are suing SPN Resources, Production Management Industries and Superior Energy Services, Inc. after David Hankins allegedly fell while working on an offshore oil platform owned and operated by SPN Resources.

Baton Rouge attorney David Bateman is representing the Hankins in the suit filed Oct. 5, 2006.

New Orleans attorneys Michael McGlone and Kelly Green are representing the defendants.

Reese rescheduled the trial citing a scheduling conflict and the desire to not split the trial over two weeks and risk losing the jury's full attention.
