George R. Blue

NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans woman is suing her landlord for injuries she claims to have sustained when she fell.

Christina A. Arrington filed suit on Jan. 26 in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Katherine Stone Babineaux.

Arrignton claims she was descending the rear stairs of her apartment unit when she lost her footing while stepping down from the last step onto a concrete surface.

The plaintiff claims the defendant was negligent for not maintaining the stairs and that they were in violation of city, state and federal codes and laws.

An unspecified amount in damages is being sought for medical expenses and loss of wages.

Arrington is being represented by Covington-based attorney George R. Blue.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Michael G. Bagneris.
