Breaux Mart sued for slip and fall

NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans woman is suing Breaux Mart for injuries she claims to have suffered on their premises.

Connie Addison filed suit on March 2 in Orleans Parish Civil District Court against Breaux Mart Supermarkets, Inc. and their insurer.

The plaintiff claims she was a customer at the Magazine Street Breaux Mart location in New Orleans when she slipped and fell in a liquid substance.

The filing does not list injuries received by Addison.

The defendant is accused of failing to maintain the premises in safe condition, failing to properly inspect the premises, allowing foreign substances on the floor and not warning the plaintiff of danger.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for pain and suffering, mental anguish, medical expenses and lost wages.

Addison is being represented by New Orleans-based attorney Ryan J. Hughes.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Lloyd J. Medley.
