Convenience store sued in slip and fall case

Stephanie Legros

DONALDSONVILE – An Ascension Parish woman is suing a St. Amant convenience store for injuries she claims happened on its premises.

Sandra Graham filed suit on March 8 in the 23rd Judicial District Civil Court against Murray's Suprette and the Louisiana Seafood Exchange of Baton Rouge.

The plaintiff alleges she was a patron at Murray's when she fell on a liquid substance on the floor that had leaked from the seafood exchange's boxes. The extent of Graham's injuries were not revealed in the filing.

The defendants are accused of creating a hazardous condition, knowing a hazard existed, failing to maintain the premises in a reasonable condition, failing to warn of the hazard, failing to remove the hazard and failing to prevent plaintiff from entering the dangerous area.

Graham is being represented by Stephanie Legros of Baton Rouge-based Dudley Debsoier Injury Lawyers.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Guy Holdridge.
