DONALDSONVILE – A Metairie construction company is being sued by a Sorrento building lumber company for a past due account.
Sorrento Lumber Company Incorporated filed suit on March 8 in the 23rd Judicial District Civil Court against the Olympic Group.
The plaintiff alleges the defendant signed a personal guarantee and a business credit application stating it would pay any outstanding bills owed to the lumber company. After the defendants did not pay their bills timely the plaintiff claims it received no response from the defendant after its legal representatives sent a letter requesting payment. The plaintiffs asserts the defendant owes an overdue balance of $88,018.51.
Damages in the amount of $88,018.51 in addition to attorney's fees in the amount of a third of the overdue bill in addition to all legal costs is sought.
