Lakeview Harbor sued over trip and fall on sidewalk

NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans woman is suing a local business claiming she was injured due to their negligence.

Joy P. Lee filed suit on March 12 against Lakeview Harbor, Inc. in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

Lee claims she was walking on a sidewalk in front of the establishment located at 901-911 Harrison Avenue in New Orleans where she was invited to attend a baby shower when she unexpectedly tripped on a crack and fell.

The plaintiff claims she received injuries to her face, mouth, teeth, left shoulder, left elbow, knees, right foot, re-aggravation of a degenerative disorder of her cervical spine and anxiety.

The defendant is accused of failing to supervise common areas, failing to maintain pavement and failing to inspect the walkway.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for inconvenience, embarrassment, mental anguish, deprivation of ordinary pleasures of life, loss of well-being and impairment of her overall health.

Lee is being represented by Metairie-based attorney Crawford A. Rose.

The case has been assigned to Division D Judge Lloyd J. Medley.
