Woman sues Walgreens over trip and fall incident

NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans woman is suing a pharmacy for injuries she claims occurred on their premises.

Maxine Adams filed suit on April 9 against Walgreens and Sedgewick CMS in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

Adams claims she was a customer in Walgreens and was going to a cooler in the store to retrieve something she was planning on purchasing when she tripped and fell on a milk crate left in an aisle. The plaintiff alleges she received injuries in the fall, but the filing did not list what injuries.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for pain and suffering and medical expenses.

Adams is being represented by Hollis Shepherd of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Ethel S. Julien.
