Scott R. Cheatham

NEW ORLEANS – A group of foreign workers is suing a New Orleans-based company for deceptive trade practices.

Claudia Olmos Ramirez et al filed suit against Royal Hospitality Services, LLC in the New Orleans Civil District Court on June 19.

Ramirez claims she and numerous other workers paid the defendant for an educational work-program where they were placed with a U.S. employer. The defendant is accused of defrauding the plaintiffs.

Damages in the amount of $88,766.19 plus attorney's fees of $7,204.

Ramirez is represented by Scott R. Cheatham of New Orleans-based Adams and Reese.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge Sidney H. Cates.
