GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish man has filed suit against a local restaurant for injuries he claims to have received from the food served there.
George Zainey filed suit against Piccadilly Restaurants, LLC on June 22 in the 24th Judicial District Court. Zainey claims he was dining on a meal prepared at the defendant's restaurant. The plaintiff alleges he fractured his tooth when biting into a piece of improperly trimmed chicken.
The defendant is accused of failing to properly serve prepared and trimmed food, failing to use a reasonable effort to keep food safe of hidden foreign objects, failing to prevent the plaintiff from suffering harm, failing to warn of the dangerous condition of the meal, failing to properly inspect its prepared food, failing to provide a safe environment, failing to implement a proper plan to inspect food and failing to remedy hazards.
An unspecified amount in damages is being sought for pain and suffering, mental anguish, medical expenses and loss of enjoyment of life.
The defendant is be represented by J. Christopher Zainey of Houma-based Williams Law Group, LLC.
The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Hans J. Liljeberg.
