DONALDSONVILLE – A Gonzales business is suing an Ascension Parish woman for allegedly causing an incident that resulted in their business being shut down for a day for repairs.
47 Inc. and Seafood Corner filed suit against Amber Killian and her insurer in the 23rd Judicial District on July 16. Seafood Corner claims Killian ignored cone markers at their business at 13654 Airline Highway in Gonzales and ran over a gas fill hose and spewing gasoline all over the area. The plaintiff alleges an extensive cleanup resulted in their business being closed down for the day.
The defendant is accused of failing to see what should have been seen, failing to be mindful of her surroundings, ignoring warning cones placed in the area and driving in a careless or reckless manner.
An unspecified amount in damages is being sought for property damage, expenses for cleaning up the spill and the cost of the spilled gasoline.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge Alvin Turner, Jr.
