Man sues Bellsouth after allegedly tripping on exposed wires on his own property

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish man has sued a telecommunications company claiming he injured himself when he tripped over exposed wires owned by the company that were on his property.

John Thiele, Jr. filed suit against Bellsouth Telecommunications, LLC, AT&T Louisiana and their insurers in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 30.

The defendant is accused of failing to adequately complete said work, failing to return the premises to a safe and well-maintained state and failing to warn the plaintiff of the potential hazard.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for physical pain and suffering, mental pain and suffering, medical expenses, loss of earnings, future loss of earning capacity, permanent disability to the body and loss of consortium.

Thiele is represented by Anthony J. Milazzo, III of Edward J. Womac, Jr. & Associates.

The case has been assigned to Division I Judge Nancy A. Miller.
