Pierre V. Miller II

NEW ORLEANS - A Michigan woman is suing a Harvey-based household appliance repair company alleging breach of contract and other damages.

Charlie Adams filed a lawsuit against A-1 Home Appliance Center, Inc. in the Orleans Parish Central District Court on July 25. Adams claims that upon a trip to her New Orleans property she found that A-1 breached its contact with her by failing to properly service and repair her refrigerator freezer. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant's negligence resulted in the destruction of the wood flooring throughout her vacation property and the development of mold in the flooring and walls of the kitchen area of the property.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract and damaging the plaintiff's home.

An unspecified amount is sought for lost income, mental anguish, travel expenses and loss of use of plaintiff's property.

Adams is represented by Pierre V. Miller II of Patrick Miller LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.

Case no. 2012-07203.
