NEW ORLEANS – The former chief operating officer of Kingsley House is suing the corporation for alleged injuries and deprivation of his rights.
Robert Boyd filed a lawsuit against Kingsley House, Inc., its insurer, Keith Liederman and Melanie Bronfin in the Orleans Parish Central District Court on Aug. 13, claiming he was wrongfully terminated.
Boyd claims that during his tenure he was unable to work effectively and that the company never funded him the promised capital for his relocation from Washington D.C. to New Orleans upon taking the COO position.
The defendant is accused the wrongful termination, slander, defamation, breach of fiduciary duty, deceptive trade practices, bad faith and breach of contract.
Boyd is seeking reimbursement of $2,410.10 in relocation expenses and other damages such as emotional distress, loss of financial opportunity, mental anguish and anxiety, pain and suffering and all other damages found reasonable.
The plaintiff is represented by Alexandra E. Mora of the Law Office of Alexandra Mora, APLC.
This case has been assigned to Division A Judge Tiffany G. Chase.
