Homeowner sud by shoring company for alleged non-payment for home elevation

GRETNA – A Harahan-based shoring company is suing a Gretna woman for non-payment of services related to elevating her home.

Orleans Shoring, LLC filed suit against Robin Payne in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 23. Orleans Shoring claims it raised Payne's home located at 914 19th St. in Gretna on Feb. 3, 2011. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant still owes $3,570.57 for the work completed.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $3,570.57, plus court costs and attorney's fees are sought by the plaintiff.

Orleans Shoring, LLC is represented by Harahan-based attorney Jason Wade.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.
