Herman, Herman, Katz & Cotlar suing local doctor over divorce bill

NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans law firm is suing one of its clients for allegedly not paying for services rendered in a divorce case.

Herman, Herman, Katz & Cotlar filed suit against Dr. Adrian Talbot in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Sept. 28. Herman, Herman, Katz & Cotlar claims that Dr. Talbot has made infrequent payments and has defaulted on his account to the firm in its representation of him in a divorce, property partition and child support case. The plaintiff claims the defendant owes $91,683.50.

The defendant is accused of non-payment on an open account.

Damages in the amount of $91,683.50 plus interest and attorney's fees are sought.

Herman, Herman, Katz & Cotlar is represented by in-house attorney John S. Creevy of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Paulette R. Irons.

Case no. 2012-09212.
