Home health company sued by landlord for breach of lease

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish home health agency is being sued by its former landlord for allegedly violating their lease.

Franklin Avenue, LLC filed suit against Gregory and Denise Riley and Supreme Home Care in the 24th Judicial District Court on Nov. 16. Franklin Avenue claims that the Rileys and Supreme Home Care signed a lease with them in February 2011 that was to last for 36 months. The plaintiff alleges that in October 2012 the defendants abandoned the property, relocated to another address and quit paying rent.

The defendant is accused of beach of contract and breach of lease.

Damages in the amount of $18,000 are sought for the remaining term of the lease.

Franklin Avenue, LLC is represented by New Orleans-based attorney George G. Angelus, PLC.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Glenn B. Ansardi.
