Local telecommunications company suing customer for alleged non-payment

GRETNA – A New Orleans-based telecommunications company is suing a Texas-based company for non-payment.

Opti-Com Manufacturing Network, Inc. filed suit against Star Operations, Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court on Nov. 20. Opti-Com Manufacturing Network claims it sold and delivered merchandise and items to Star Operations, Inc. on an open account in the amount of $56,274.88.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $56,274.88 plus attorney's fees and 25 percent interest on that sum is being sought.

Opti-Com Manufacturing Network, Inc. is represented by Richard B. Eason of New Orleans-based Adams and Reese, LLP.

The case has been assigned to Division G Judge Robert A. Pitre.
