GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish man is suing a local bar after he was allegedly knocked out by an attacker in the parking lot of a bar.
Michael Mayeux filed suit against Troy Bergeron, Wenz, Inc., The Mill and their insurers in the 24th Judicial District Court.
Mayeux claims he was a customer at The Mill when he was attacked by Bergeron and ordered by the bar’s staff to leave the premises. The defendant, The Mill, under Louisiana law, is accused of being legally liable for acts perpetrated on its customers.
The defendant, Troy Bergeron, is accused of assault.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for medical care, medicine costs, cost of hospitalization, lost wages, property damages, pain and suffering, permanent disability, emotional upset and distress and psychological problems including shock.
