Lawyer sues restaurant owners for non-payment

NEW ORLEANS – A New Orleans-based attorney is suing the owners of a group of restaurants for alleged non-payment of legal representation.

Richard W. Martinez, a professional law corporation, filed suit against Juliet Prichett, Brandon Shane Pritchett, Fat Hen Grill - Hickory, LLC and FHG- St. Chuck, LLC in the Orleans Parish Civil District Court on Dec. 3. Martinez claims he represented the Pritchetts and their businesses on an open account for unnamed legal matters. The plaintiff alleges that the defendants owe him $48,464.44 for services rendered. Martinez asserts that the plaintiffs are removing themselves from personal liability from creditors for the expenditures by using funds from their restaurants to sustain their lifestyles.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract for non-payment.

Damages in the amount of $48,464.44 is sought for non-payment for legal representation.

Richard W. Martinez, a Professional Law Corporation is represented by New Orleans-based attorney Michael J. Bourquard.

The case has been assigned to Division H Judge Michael J. Bagneris.

Case no. 2012-11241.
