Gas station sued by woman who fell over 'irregularly shaped pump island'

GRETNA – A St. Charles Parish woman has filed suit against a local gas station for injuries she received in a fall on the premises.

Robin B. Bergeron filed suit against A Plus Invest Inc., Green Acres Discount Zone and their insurer in the 24th Judicial District Court on Dec. 10.

Bergeron alleges she received severe and disabling injuries to her hands, wrists, right knee, left knee and right ribs that required medical care.

The defendant is accused of improper maintenance, improper design, failing to warn and failing to exercise due care.

Damages not to exceed $50,000 is sought for medical expenses, loss of income, physical disability, physical pain and suffering, emotional distress and loss of enjoyment of life.

Bergeron is represented by Hammond-based attorney Paul L. Billingsley.

The case has been assigned to Division F Judge Patrick J. McCabe.
