GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish woman is suing a fast food chain corporation for injuries she claims she received in a parking lot fall.

Brandi Tanner filed suit against Taco Bell of America, Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court on Dec. 11.

Tanner claims she was visiting the Taco Bell at 2640 Belle Chasse Hwy. in Terrytown when she slipped in a liquid in the parking lot and fell to the ground.

The defendant is accused of failing to properly inspect the parking lot area, failing to timely clean up areas of the parking lot, failing to warn customers of dangerous and defective conditions, failing to safely maintain the area in a reasonably safe condition, creating and maintaining a danger and allowing a dangerous condition to exist.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for pain and suffering, permanent damage, loss of enjoyment of life, medical expenses and economic damages.

Tanner is represented by attorney Pierre F. Gaudin of Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division C Judge June Berry Darensburg.

Case no. 721-959.
