Metairie homeowner sued for not fully paying for home elevation

GRETNA – A New Orleans-based construction company is suing a Jefferson Parish homeowner for allegedly not fully paying for a home elevation.

Tim Clark Construction LLC filed suit against Mike Vickrey in the 24th Judicial District Court on Dec. 19. Tim Clark Construction claims it raised Vickrey's home located at 5248 Loveland St. in Metairie. The plaintiff alleges that the contracted price for the job of $159,980 was agreed upon in December 2010, but the defendant had only paid $77,829.24 as of a year later.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $82,150.36 are sought by the plaintiff plus legal interest, legal costs and attorney's fees.

Tim Clark Construction is represented by M. Elizabeth Howley of Gretna-based Bowman & Howley.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
