HVAC supply corporation suing local repair company for over $150,000 on overdue account

GRETNA – A Texas corporation is suing a Lafayette-based air conditioning and hating company for not paying for goods they allegedly purchased on a credit account.

Coburn Supply Company Inc. filed suit against Leblanc’s Air Conditioning & Heating Inc. and Julie L. LeBlanc in the 24th Judicial District Court on Dec. 21.

Coburn Supply Company Inc. claims that Leblanc’s Air Conditioning & Heating Inc. and LeBlanc opened an account with them in 2002 for heating and air conditioning supplies. The plaintiffs claim that as of February 2012 the account balance had risen to $151,484.77 and that the defendants refused to pay on the amount allegedly owed.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $151,484.77 plus attorney’s fees and legal interest are sought.

Coburn Supply Company Inc. is represented by Creighton B. Abadie of Baton Rouge-based Lindsay & Abadie APLC.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Carolyn W. Gill-Jefferson.
