Subcontracted insulation company sues contractors for alleged non-payment

GRETNA – An insulation installation company is suing two contractor companies they claim did not pay them for services performed on two construction projects.

Insulations Inc. filed suit against PLC Inc. and Noble Energy Inc. in the 24th Judicial District Court on Jan. 4.

Insulations Inc. claims it was sub-contracted by PLC Inc. and Noble Energy Inc. to provide insulation on an oil platform and another energy project, but not fully paid for the work. The plaintiff alleges the defendants owe $60,150.64 for work performed on the Mars B project and $24,093.94 for work performed on the Noble Energy Allen Field Development.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amounts of $60,150.64 and $24,093.94 plus attorney’s fees are sought by the plaintiffs.

Insulations Inc. is represented by attorney Christy R. Bergeron of New Orleans-based Kingsmill Reiss LLC.

The case has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
