Golden Corral sued by woman who was allegedly injured in fall on premises

GRETNA – A Kenner restaurant is being sued by a woman who claims she was injured in a fall on its premises.

Jo Ann Reed filed suit against Corral Gulfsouth Inc., Golden Corral and James River Insurance in the 24th Judicial District Court on Feb. 4.

Reed claims she was having lunch at the Golden Corral buffet restaurant located at 3920 Williams Blvd. in Kenner when she slipped on a wet substance at the entrance of the restaurant. The plaintiff alleges she was injured in the incident.

The defendant is accused of creating an unreasonable danger, not notifying the petitioner of the danger and not providing proper janitorial services.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for injuries, medical expenses, pain and suffering and diminished quality of life.

Reed is represented by attorney Max M. Chotto of Gretna.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee V. Faulkner Jr.

Case no. 723-570.
