GRETNA – A New Orleans man is suing a local warehouse for injuries he allegedly received when an electrical panel fell on him when two warehouse employees were helping him unload it from his truck.
Terry Chan filed suit against Cross Roads Centers Louisiana LLC, Cross Roads Centers LLC, Cross Roads Centers Transportation LLC, RHM Connection LLC and RHM Warehousing & Transportation in the 24th Judicial District Court on March. 15.
Chan claims that he was moving an electrical panel from the back of his truck with help from two of the defendant’s employees when it fell on him and he was injured. The plaintiff asserts that he received severe injuries to his leg, ankle and foot.
The defendant is accused of placing others in a perilous situation, creating a known dangerous condition or situation and failing to correctly use the pallet jack.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for mental pain and suffering, disability, medical expenses, scarring, disfigurement, loss of use and function and lost income and earning capacity.
Chan is represented by attorney William E. Mura Jr. of New Orleans.
The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
