GRETNA – A disaster rehab contractor is suing a group of developers for fees owed for renovations provided to a subdivision development following Hurricane Isaac.
JF&A LLC filed suit against Live Oak Manor Limited Partnership, GoZone LLC and MAC-RE LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on April 8. JF&A claims they were contracted by the developers of a the 61 unit Live Oak Manor subdivision located at 401 Jeffers Drive in Waggaman to make repairs to homes that were damaged in Hurricane Isaac in August 2012.
The plaintiff alleges it completed repairs in a good and workmanlike manner and owed $219,289.05 for materials and labor supplied in the disaster repairs. JF&A asserts it has sent demand letters to the defendants, but has not received payment.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for all amounts due and attorney’s fees. The plaintiff is also seeking that all Live Oak Manor property be sold so that it may receive the amount they claim they are owed.

The case has been assigned to Division E Judge John J. Molaison Jr.
