Condo owners sued by condo association for not paying fees

Breach of contract

GRETNA – A Jefferson Parish condominium association is suing a tenant for not paying condominium association fees.

Fountain Court Condominium Association Inc. filed suit against Yolannie E. Ramirez and Billy D. Palacio in the 24th Judicial District Court on April 8.

Fountain Court Condominium Association Inc. claims Ramirez and Palacio are delinquent in paying condominium association fees. The plaintiff alleges that the defendants owe $2,824.80, plus $25 in late fees each month and one percent interest. Fountain Court Condominium Association Inc. asserts that a lien should be placed on the defendants' property if they do not pay the fees they allegedly owe.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought for $2,824.80 plus reasonable attorney’s fees.

Fountain Court Condominium Association Inc. is represented by attorney Clarence F. Favret III of New Orleans.

The case has been assigned to Division B Judge Cornelius E. Regan.
