GRETNA – A pizza delivery employee who claims he was injured when he stepped in a hole at the home he was delivering to is suing.
Edward Cusimano filed suit against the estate of Edward J. Caillouet, Kathleen Caillouet, Hope Caillouet Romig, Heidi M. Caillouet, State Farm Fire and Casualty Company and the Parish of Jefferson in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 14.
Cusimano claims he was delivering a pizza to the Caillouet household located at 4201 California Ave. in Kenner and owned by the estate of Edward J. Caillouet when he stepped in a hole on the property. The plaintiff alleged he received serious and traumatic injuries in the incident, both physical and psychological.
The defendant is accused of failing to maintain the premises, creating or failing to correct a dangerous condition, failing to inspect the premises and failing to warn of a hazardous condition.
An unspecified amount in damages is sought for medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages and loss of earning capacity.
Cusimano is represented by attorney Thomas E. Campbell of Metairie.
The case has been assigned to Division J Judge Stephen C. Grefer.
