Sanitation company suing for $54K over unpaid construction debris pick up

GRETNA – A local sanitation company is suing a two businesses that they claim entered into an agreement with them to pick up construction debris, but then did not to pay the fees for the service. 

River Parish Disposal LLC filed suit against Busted Knuckle Field Services LLC, Patrick Jeansonne, Airport Motel LLC and Asha Jagani in the 24th Judicial District Court on May 31.  River Parish Disposal claims that on Oct. 20, 2012 they entered into a contract with Busted Knuckles and Airport Motel to provide trash pick up service during renovations.

The plaintiff claims the defendants made two payments of $650 each, but then made no further payments. River Parish Disposal asserts the defendants owe them for back payments plus interest in the amount of 1.5 percent per month for which they have allegedly not responded to demands for payment.

The defendant is accused of breach of contract.

Damages in the amount of $54,265 is sought by the plaintiff.
