Holiday Inn sues contractor for allegedly faulty window replacement job

GRETNA – A local hotel is suing a company it contracted to replace its windows for allegedly using deficient materials and not providing adequate craftsmanship.

Hotel 360 LLC filed suit against KFK Construction LLC in the 24th Judicial District Court on July 9.

Hotel 360 claims that it contracted KFK Construction to install new window and sidelights in the Holiday Inn hotel located at 100 Westbank Expressway in Gretna. The plaintiff alleges that that the defendant agreed to provide new materials in good condition for the job, but that after the work was completed it found the work deficient and the windows and hardware faulty.

The defendant is accused of failing to properly perform the work, failing to supply necessary materials, breaching statutory warranties and breach of contract.

An unspecified amount in damages is sought to correct the deficiencies, make repairs and attorney’s fees.

Hotel 360 is represented by Thomas M. Beh of New Orleans-based Elkins PLC.

The case has been assigned to Division P Judge Lee V. Faulkner.
