GRETNA – A hardware store chain is being sued by a man who claims he was assaulted by employees working at its Metairie location.
Travis Talamo filed suit against Lowe’s Home Center in the 24th Judicial District Court on Oct. 15.
Talamo asserts that on Oct. 18, 2012 he was shopping at the Lowe’s Home Center located at 3640 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie when he was accosted and attacked by two of their employees after a brief verbal altercation. The plaintiff alleges he was physically assaulted and battered in the incident.
The defendant is accused of negligently hiring employees involved in the incident and failing to provide a safe premises.
Less than $75,000 in damages is sought for mental pain and suffering, physical pain and suffering, medical expenses, lost wages, disability and loss of lifestyle.

The case has been assigned to Division N Judge Stephen D. Enright Jr.
