GRETNA – A man who provided more than $33,000 in loans to a local startup business is suing for allegedly never being paid back.
John Schexnayder filed suit against Timothy Comeaux in the 24th Judicial District Court on Jan. 22.
Schexnayder alleges that he wrote four checks totaling $33,800 as a loan for Comeaux’s startup business. The plaintiff asserts the defendant never made an attempt to return the funds.
The defendant is accused of breach of contract.
Damages are sought for the amount loaned.
Schexnayder is represented by attorney Joseph McMahon III of Metairie.
The case has been assigned to Division M Judge Henry G. Sullivan Jr.
